Audio: Rafael Jove - The Spread // Mix
Download
A selection of mostly european (predominantly german) tracks. Many of them edited. Just some rare or awkward stuff sitting on my shelves, that waited to be compiled into a mix for a long time. Starting slowly and getting library discoid towards the end.
Our friend Rafael is a lunatic when it comes to record diggin. Check out his latest adventure into funkyland. Crusty ass shit!

Audio: Streets Of Beige - Jacques Renault // SOB.012
The four pillars of Beige have always been flaunted but disco still hasn't been represented on the mix front. So it's a great pleasure to have our first one curated by none other than Jacques Renault, a New York disco legend who transcends his US roots to bring slavish, daring beats to UK shores. Wrapped in silken swing, he slings samples off the hook with the delights of the oft-sampled Imagination making a sly appearance and half-time jive and jazz giving the mix ample stomp to see the night off.

Audio: Dj Akalepse - Props mixtape Vol.1 (another spring)
Truth & Soul- one of my favorite labels that push high quality soul&funk based musik present a new mixtape. Dj Akalepse picks perfect "summertunes" from heroes like weldon irvine, aaron neville or roy ayers. There are also a lot of samples in there for all you rapcats.
The only bad thing about this mix is that it´s only an iTunes podcast. You can listen & (if you support the apple-dynasty) download this podcast here.(Photo by Eilon Paz - Check his Blog Dust &Grooves!)
