Video: Torky Tork - Der Unfall (1982) // PR110
Mit Torky Tork steppt der nächste Produzent aus der Beatgeeks-Gang in die Arena. „PR110" ist das erste Soloalbum des Berliner Produzenten, welches auf Vinyl erscheinen wird. Inspiriert wurde die Platte von einer beliebten Kriminalfilmreihe der ehemaligen DDR. Torky reiht sich mit „PR110" nicht nur aus dem Stand in die erste Garde der deutschen Produzentenszene ein, sondern zeigt das VHS-Tapes mindestens so funky sind wie Vinylplatten, wenn es ums diggen geht.
„PR110" wird im August als limitierte Private Press LP in ausgewählten Plattenläden erhältlich sein.

First of all we would like to thank all the producers and beatmakers around the globe who took part in this beautiful experience. We received an unbelievable amount of fresh beats and had a real hard time to choose who gets to shine. No violence was used creating the tracklist although it was kind of close at one stage. Everything you hear is previously unreleased material. So turn up the volume and enjoy the ride.

The idea of this beat has been inspired by the dreadful military conflict in Vietnam, back in the 60's and 70's. The title '1965' refers to the year that president Johnson from the United States started 'Operation Rolling Thunder', a aerial bombardment campaign against Vietnam. 864.000 tons of American bombs had been dropped on North Vietnam during Rolling Thunder, 200.000 Vietnamese civilians were killed. The theme in this beat speaks for itself. History repeats in '1965' !

Audio: OptiMace - Used Future // EP
The début EP 'Used Future' by Dutch DJ's/producers Mace and Optimus, together OptiMace. This EP is the result of an intensive cooperation between the two, using all types of equipment like vintage samplers & synthesizers, fx-pedals, turntables, 'ordinary' instruments and materials like stoves and brushes. OptiMace created a playful mixture of dusty, jazzy beats, electronics and soundscapes. The two, who also combine forces in label Fremdtunes, invited Belgium saxophone player Erwin Vann to add some mind-blowing brass to the tracks. The digital version comes with a bonus-track, Flash, featuring DJ Vindictiv. Rush Hour distributes the vinyl. The superb artwork is done by Klaas Verplancke and Mister Adam.
