Kazi unearthed an album he did with Madlib back in 1996 called BLACKMARKET. We'll be sending out a track in our next newsletter - sign up in the lower right hand corner. Below are a few tracks Kazi already has available on Bandcamp. BLACKMARKET was recorded at Madlib's bedroom studio, Crate Diggas Palace (Photos) in Oxnard CA on reel-to-reel tape.  Kazi's first appearance on record was on Lootpack's Soundpieces: Da Antidote in 1999. The following year Kazi released the Madlib-produced EP Down for the Kaz and appeared on Madlib's Madlib Invazion EP, both on Stones Throw.

I have to say I am not totally convinced about this beat, but OBX just brings that "grownmanrap" to the table, no extras and preservatives needed. Plus I really dig it when rappers take a theme which is implemented by the producer and make it a good story/song. Good video.

“The Adventures of Telemachus” is a short series of mixtapes in the run up to the “Telemachus – In The Evening” album. Volume 1 was released on 4th April 2011 shortly after the release of ‘Scarecrows ft. Roc Marciano’. The tracks selected range from Hip-Hop to Nigerian High Life to Reggae to Psychedelic Rock. It is a collection of songs that Telemachus likes. He thinks you should like them too. If you dont like them there is a good chance that you may have some issues with your hearing and you should probably have it checked out sooner rather than later. So if anything, you can simply use this collection of songs as a means of testing whether your ears are in good shape.
