Today is the day of coincidence.I found this E.P. via Bandcamp and that deep lyricist "SEV STATIK" is a real dope Mcee.Nice story teller with a gift for creating images,or better "speaks in images".Beats and Cuts are fresh and accomplish the act to a small magnum opus.Big Shouts to: Sev Statik,(Beats) DeeJay Tone,( Guests) Sojourn, Wonder Brown, Nomis, Mark Arthur, Sareem Poems and Ruslan.(Cuts) DJ Ex-O.
I found this Beat Tape per coincidence and after the 1.st impressions i decided to post the Tape. The problem was, that i couldnt find any informations about "Me Myselph & Eye".After a while i recognized a 2.nd version of this release with "tags" on it and i found some names. One of these names is "Project Prospect",who i met the 1.st time @ Generation Tapedeck. The other names,(dont know how they contribute) are Matt Earley, Mario Stokes, Rick Breezy, Thesis & Theory. Now back to the beats, which are soulful and show the talent of young producer "Project proscpect".Great Soul Samples and a hot drum assortment. All 7 tracks are cogent (Im sure this tape is his first one).Yo.!
We posted the Single "J. Cole - Who Dat" some weeks ago.Hers is the One Take Video for the Kids in the field.Who Dat? Who Dat?.Directed by BBGun.35mm 2.nd take.
I really enjoy listening to these Reefer Boys (Curren$y, Smoke DZA, Stalley, Devin The Dude,...). It is just so fuckin laid back. The Beats always play a big part of it ...so after we saw Von Pea make his beats on the NI Maschine, here we can catch a glimpse of how Ski Beatz makes his music with the help of Ableton Live. Maschine and Ableton Live8 ..the perfect combination.
By the way this is off Smoke`s upcoming mixtape George Kush Da Button.
Bloggin is just somethin we do. A while ago I mentioned that Von Pea always sounds tired. Well look at the video ...they are tired ...always ...and they know it. Fresh shit though.
Falside*s new Beattape is a BoomBap Beat oasis. The last weeks we got many posts with that new avantgarde beat kidz,so this is a nice alternation. We love Beat Tapes! Thanks "Falside" for "Jesus Shaves".One of my Fav's is "Summer Style Fantastic",you can listen above.Yihaa!
The second single from Aloe Blacc's forthcoming Good Things is a 7-inch of “Femme Fatale”, Aloe Blacc & Truth+Soul's take on the Velvet Underground classic. The instrumental is on the flip side of this heavy 7-inch slab of vinyl.
My favourite RSS Feed since i have an RSS Fead Reader (HAHA,since 10 days),is the Feed from "Stonesthrow Records".Click the Play button above and you will know why!Amazing Soul Song, the Album will be great!Peace.
Following months of anticipation, West Coast up-and-comers The Seed have released their free street album, BREAKINGROUND, presented by Wild Style Technicians and Dyse One Clothing.Mixed by DJ Demon and Adikt 1, the 21-track mixtape is designed to give listeners a taste of what to expect from the rising rap duo’s forthcoming studio album.
More stuff from the Uk,for the people in the field."Delusionists" with the new LP "Prolusion Plus".Some really dope Beats at this Lp,you will find "Jon Phonics" in Track nr. 2 (dope Beat Homie). But i cant talk so much about the Mcees, they rappin on point and doing a good job,but in some parts to difficult to understand the british accent.Doesnt matter Boys!
After some previews in the last weeks, here we got the Beat LP from "the OPUS".I like that cloudy and abstruse sound, but I hope their will be more levels & alternations in the next releases.Download via Bandcamp.Give these nice guys a listen.YO ADAD!visit "the OPUS"
Ok to tell the truth I am not convinced. Trademark and Young Roddy aren`t in C`s league and only leave room for a 16 from the Spitta. The reason why I post this: 1. so I can remind you of these two Spitta songs with Fiend 2. because this freaky cover (Illustration by David Barnett) makes me want to buy it on vinyl which comes with a 2m x 2m poster...
The Album is out tomorrow (USA) or on the 2nd of Juli over here in Europe. Today I found another leak on dallaspenn. I also saw the album leak yesterday, which is a pitty, but I guess the album is strong enough to compensate that. Plus playing for Fallon and all the touring should have them in a comfortable position. I feel sorry for Drake though...ehm..no. Great song.
