Jake One sent those in the comp an email last night stating we had to flip the Curtis Mayfield song, Hard Times. When we started this blog about a year ago, living together in the same building, sharing the same passion for music, we were passing on links of the stuff we found online. It´s a bit like digging for wax - a lot of crap but then at the end of the box you find a beautiful piece of music. So the next step was to share what you find on an bigger platform. While browsing the web and selecting everyday what stuff is worth promoting, we meet artists who catch our attention. We just wanted more of their dope music. We invented this compilation as fans and asked our favorite underground producers to contribute. We´re happy to deliver you a selection of mainly unreleased beats. Video: Red Bull Big Tune 2010: Denver - Round 1 and Semi-Finals

Twelve music producers made the journey to compete in Denver for the Red Bull Big Tune crown. With a combination of new styles mixed with a strong West Coast influence producers waged a sonic assault on The Church nightclub. In the end producers Boon Doc and Xperiment came out triumphant and advanced to the Finals in Chicago in November.

On their first full length release for 2010 titled Sound Soulstice (produced entirely by Australian producer ARKiV) 1773 has brought together a string of banging instrumental beats. The first of which is the lead single "The Goodness". On wax, this track features Michigan MC Othello but on video we've got a two-fer for you! Ezekiel38 (of Vertual Vertigo) drops in during the last act to drop his verse from 1773's song "So Clear" (the 2nd single from Sound Soulstice).
