Video: Wiz Khalifa - The Statement
This is fashionably late. Like half a year late and almost 3 million plays later. So I guess you all know it, huh? Wiz Khalifa is an artist I like, but I hate most the songs!? There is always something that throws me off... sometimes the beat, sometimes the hook....but there was one song that I just couldn`t stop listening to.
And now I find this video by accident and it was the only other song that stayed on my drive after downloading this.
What does a song like this do? It makes me roll one up and make a beat.
See ya.

Audio: Fokis - Where Were You Featuring CHI-ILL And Cons // Mp3
Pretty nice track and video in our inbox. I sometimes think we had enough soul samples in hiphop over the years. Well listening to this, you think it`s never going to be enough, right? Produced by James Moore.
Grown man rap.
Download the mp3 here.

Audio: Jaisu - Straight Out The MPC // Beat Tape
Link: Jaisu - Straight Out The MPC
'Straight Out The MPC' is a collection of 30 beats produced by Jaisu between 2007 - 2010.
During this time Jaisu's series of beat tape videos at www.youtube.com/ab0181 accumulated 270,000 views. Commentators' demand for a download has reached breaking point and now here it is; start the helicoptas!
Finally its here, the Jaisu "Straight Out The MPC" Beat Tape, after a bunch of youtube videos and the preiview some days ago. Dude serves dope, soulful sample-based beats straight outta MPC. If you like what you hear, purchase the album for 5 pounds via bandcamp.

Audio: Probe Dms – Lil Mama feat 2Face (A-Butta and L-Swift of Natural Elements) // Mp3
If you don`t know about Natural Elements go and look em up. Sometimes I wish I would have been at that age living in New York City at the time when they were on Rawkus.
Well, my memories from that time are seeing Ono and Savas on stage in Berlin... they used to call themselves Basic Elements. Good times.

Audio: Frenk & Stine - Awaken Frenk&Stine EP 3/3 // BeatTape
Frenk & Stine is back with the release of the third EP of the "Awaken Frenk & Stine" series. We took a slightly more ominous direction with this one, but as always we made sure the beats knocked. These projects have consistently represented a pursuit in being honest with our craft and expression, while exploring new possibilities and getting out of our comfort zone as musicians. This latest EP was recorded over a three week period immediately following the release of EP 2/3.
This is the latest and final Part of the Frenk & Stine Awaken Beat EP Series. Shoutout to Solo & Jimmy who posted the other parts before.

Audio: Stik Figa - From The Top (Prod. By Oddisee) // EP
I don`t know why we missed this when this came out ten days ago... uh, I know we were busy as hell, but the good guys over at PHIMB always keep a hiphop nerd updated.
These 5 songs come in form of a 20 track EP. Yeah that`s right, they provide you with the dirty and clean versions, accapellas and instrumentals... for free. So get busy and remix or rap to this.
Next thing you know they have pdf files with the lyrics so you can rhyme along and the cover comes in form of colouring booklet to keep your kids busy while you rap along listening to the clean version (of course).
By the way this is as dope as you thought it would be.

Audio: Evidence vs. The Beatles - I Don`t Need Love // EP
Let The Beat Flip
“As many of you know my intention was to release a track for you on my birthday. Somewhere between the files being sent to get mixed and mastered and sent back to me the entire project was leaked. I don’t know how the files were obtained but at this point there isn’t anything I can do to control the spread of the project so please enjoy it in it’s entirety.”
This is nice. Dangermouse kicking of his whole career by dropping the grey album comes to my mind, but at first I was thinking some unknown producer picked a couple of Evidence accapellas to go along with some old Beatles records he found in his uncles closet. These fan projects are usually terrible to listen to. Thank god it`s Ev himself.
By the way, play this to your elders and watch their faces go: uuhhgh.
Hard knockin ish with features by Oh No, Rakaa and Fashawn.

But just before Chakra Sounds brings you a limited edition, 250 screen printed, hand numbered 7inch at the end of January early February.

Everyone loves a freebie and Jon loves everyone (well nearly) so it equals 2 mp3’s of stank funk and a video just for you to download.
This is another limb from the Jon Phonics frankenstien body of sound following on from crafting some of the best soundscapes for hip-hop emcees in UK and US.
Uh whee! This is indeed funky. Dance the snow away... ladies? Say whuut?
Jon Phonics was featured on our last Beat Tape and will hopefully (Inshallah) be on Vol.2 aswell. Right, Jon?

Audio: Mortis One – Die Nacht // prod. "Torky Tork" // Cuts "Da Kid" "Cutcannibalz" // "Immer wieder gern" Mixtape
Download: Mortis One - Immer wieder gern // Mixtape

Audio: J. Bizness - 3P Series // Vol.8
This is the 8th installment in the 3P Series presented by producer J. Bizness and is hosted by OkayPlayer blogsite, Rappers I Know. This month features the creative collective that J. Bizness is associated with. This 3P highlights 5 emerging MCs from S. California (Richard Wright, Belvi, Skeem Price, Mr. Sobers, and Craze) as well as 2 other up & coming producers (Bombay and Captain).
J.Bizness brings that grown man music feeling along. Calm and collected, not trying to push any buttons to get your attention. We like that. This is why he was featured on our last R.O.L. Beat Compilation, but you already know that...
Yeah.
