BTS Radio:Manic when it comes to new creation, I was handed three CDs with over 150 beats the first time I met Paul White. His output has been at dizzying levels for years, it's hard to imagine the number of archives he's stored away.White is hip-hop through and through. He respects the art and captures the elements of what you loved about the genre from the start. His sample sources lean towards psychedelics, experimental jazz and rock, giving it a more distinct sound than most hip-hop beat makers. His latest project, "Paul White and The Purple Brain", is an album made up entirely from work of little-known Swedish psych-rock guru S.T. Mikael. The combination goes hand in hand and where White is most comfortable creatively. Taking drug-fueled sound and rinsing it through the MPC.Paul White's "Paul White and The Purple Brain" is out now on Now-Again/One-Handed Music.
Bluntsports is online! And to celebrate this we give y’all a small introduction: we brought out a tape with some of the finest! Only Bluntsports productions on this one, this is just a sample from the many projects that are coming out this year!
"I started listening to reggae back in the late seventies courtesy of a dread who lived on my street and used to blast his music while washing his old school BMW every sunday. Thirties years later I'm still collecting reggae and just love the whole physical aspect of 45's. All cracks, pops and crackles free courtesy of an original 45 selection. From deep East London to your speaker stack. Charlie Dark in the mix. Enjoy"

This past year, around the same time Madlib was creating his remix of Guilty Simpson's Ode to the Ghetto for his Madlib Medicine Show #1 release, we had Oh No remix the tracks as well, using samples from the Now-Again catalog. Oh No's collection Ghettodes is not meant as an album, but you put 14 tracks together and you might as well call it that.
A few tracks have come out individually over the past year via stonesthrow.com, the ST Twitter and ST Facebook pages, but here is a download of the complete set:
