New Free Stuff of MMGs Trek Life upcoming LP "Wouldn't change Nothing" available 12th July.
Today the first single, What It Is (Apollo Brown Remix), was released from his upcoming project Wouldn’t Change Nothing. Detroit producer Apollo Brown approached the track by trying to craft an entirely new sound from the Oddisee original in an effort to compliment Trek's agressive flow. Trek Life commented after hearing the finished track: "What It Is is one of the rawest tracks I ever recorded, it's crazy that Apollo made it even MORE RAW!"
We showed you the first two leaks a couple of days ago. Now the french producer drops the full album for free. The tracklist is stacked with dope emcees (Buff1, Edo G, Finale, Trek Life, King Magnetic, Magestik Legend, Rasco, Stahhr, Journalist 103,..) and the beats are outta space... Astronote! Coming from the city of Go-Go, I've always loved production inspired by funk. when it comes to funk inspired hip hop, no body does it like the west. While I was on the west producing Trek Life's album that inspiration went further than being a fan. I don't know if it was the palm trees, beaches, or burgers but this is what I was making in LA.
