DUSTY MILK CRATES VOL.3:
The aim of the compilation is to increase awareness, raise support, and expand the scope and influence of the emerging beat scene, both generally as a genre, as well as on a regional level.

In a climate where commercial media has set a prescribed and formulaic approach to the dissemination of art, Condensed Milk is an independent collective of like minded graphic designers, beat makers, DJs and crate diggers. Condensed Milk is a digital hub for music as well as art and culture, sourced from varying media sources from all corners of the globe. The collective features artists from Melbourne, Auckland, and Paris, and will continue to cultivate, promote and represent talent from as many diverse backgrounds as possible.

This is our final installment from the 3 volume series of Instrumental Compilations. Condensed Milk have carefully selected a number of beat makers that we feel embody the essence of creativity outside of the status quo and represent a part of their city’s involvement in the beat movement. Condensed Milk are proud to have each artist on board the Dusty Crates project as we hope to bring theIr music to a much larger audience.

Our reality takes form as we visualize to manifest it. Once it is visualized it can be created physically. Becoming part in building our exterior existence as a reflection of what we are within; Life, Love, Creation.

Delightful Beat Tape by AFTA-1,very soulful and prudent.We know that he produces bangin hip hop beats too,but it is often interesting to meet the other side of the producers.Variety is a important point,and AFTA-1 is the man who represents that.

This past Tuesday I had the opportunity to hang out with a producer by the name of AFTA-1. I’ve been following his music for the past few months and when I heard that he was going to be doing a set at SOM in San Francisco, I was beyond ecstatic. I wrote him an e-mail the night before, explaining that I was a fan of his work and if he would be interested in allowing me to shoot him and document the events before, during and after his set. The next morning I received an e-mail from him saying he was up for the idea. I met him a couple of hours beforehand, where we chatted for a bit, then I filmed his set and a few quick words after





On Wednesday, AFTA-1 and I met up to check out a few thrift stores in the Mission, but, since we started our outing so late, most were closed. I ended up showing him Dolores Park (where he lost some unmentionables, haha), and he shared his inspiration for his limited edition cassettes and his music. We concluded our hangout session with some always amazing ice cream from Bi-Rite (I had the balsamic strawberry with the honey lavender and he opted for the roasted banana with cookies and cream).

Some minutes ago i received a mail by "ophraprecordingz" with a nice track in the attachment."So Beautiful" by "O-phrap & 5Th-p" is neat and smooth.Nice Beat by "Afta -1".I dont know much from these guys from California but that track in the 1.st layer assured me and i give you the advice to listen to.Peace!
