Self Scientific - Car-Culture Featuring Mitchy Slick

Self Scientific - The Buildorbangers

I found two unreleased Self Scientific songs over at DGI. Check em out. I guess DJ Khalil doesn`t need a bank account, just a very safe place to store his hard drives. This Car-Culture beat is a fucking monster.

Video: Hi-Fi - BLUE NOTE Covers

Hi-Fi from bante on Vimeo.

It´s not a new idea but you can´t go wrong laying your hands on the classic bluenote covers. The unique combination of francis wolffs photography and reid miles (among others) design is brilliant, so is the transformation of Bante into moving image. check the original b.n.-covers here.

Audio: TightFace - Treasures Of The Five Boroughs // Mixtape

Download: TightFace - Treasures Of The Five Boroughs

Paul White brought you Ancient Treasures with Guilty Simpson, and Tranqill dropped a Hidden Treasures EP, and now we complete the accidental trilogy of hiphop-related booty: a New York rap mixtape boasting all-original production from our co-conspirator TightFace.Treasures of the Five Boroughs pairs TightFace's electric funk and dusty-fingered swagger with vocals from the likes of Ghostface, Nas, Q-Tip and many more. It's brilliantly executed and now it's yours.

Audio: Elaquent - The Midnight after // P(review)

Benten Boogie by Elaquent

The Homie Elaquent sent me his new album "The Midnight after", the successor of "After Midnight" and "Persona". "The Midnight after" has the typical and laid-back attitude of Elaquent's prodcutions that we love. Beats are eclectic and comes up trumps with many details in the background. Drums and Basslines come wicked and they fill my speakers with pleasant heat. You will also find some vocal features with Marv Won, O-Phrap, Mr.Brady, Solar C and ES, fitting perfectly into those smooth beats. So today is the official release date and i hope you will not miss this dope album which is special, amusing, sweeping and a must have. You can digg it at huhwhatandwhere,
but it's not online right now. Im sure later this day. Get the tracklist and the credits after the jump. yo

edit: EQ told me The album drops a week later on 18.March 2011.

Audio: Lord Nez - Mean Streets // Street Album

Lord Nez - Wheel Of Fortune Feat. Pooktalife (Prod. By Ayatollah)

Never heard of Lord Nez, but I like this mix between hood and concious rap. Just take a look at the features: Ommas Keith (Sa-Ra) and M1 (of Dead Prez) rocking over some grimey beats by Ayatollah, MoSS, Stu Bangaz and Sid Roams.
Download this album for free.

Heute: "Hip-Hop, The World is Yours" auf Arte um 22°°

"Hip-Hop, The World is Yours" // Arte 10.März 22°°
