Apollo The Great pulls a perfect Biggie flow and pattern out the hat, just paying hommage to one of the greatest mcees that ever touched the mic. Biggie died on March 9th 1997. Fucking 14 years ago! R.I.P. Mr. Smalls.
Apollo`s new mixtape Apollo21 is coming soon.
Lord Nez - Wheel Of Fortune Feat. Pooktalife (Prod. By Ayatollah)
Never heard of Lord Nez, but I like this mix between hood and concious rap. Just take a look at the features: Ommas Keith (Sa-Ra) and M1 (of Dead Prez) rocking over some grimey beats by Ayatollah, MoSS, Stu Bangaz and Sid Roams. Download this album for free.

"Hip-Hop, The World is Yours" // Arte 10.März 22°°
Hell yeah. Kon (of kon&amir fame) might be the only blogger who is even lazyer than me about new posts - But(!), he has some good things to share. So, from time to time it´s worth checking the updates he´s doing every 6 month at his blog playing for keeps.
Now download immediately the big soulgroover everybody´s on a trip by Garden of Eden -Kon Edit from the 2007 "Off Track Volume One: The Bronx"-Compilation.

"Combining past, present and future his mix has all the necessary elements of groove, depth and bumpiness."

Your World & My World feat. Havoc is the Bonus Track of Raekwon's latest release "Shaolin vs Wu-Tang", really kool to hear Havoc on that candy track. Via
Some while ago I saw an nice documentary about the role of music in the US civil rights movement in the 60´s. Among others they interviewed a singer who also did a live performance only accompanied by a contrabassist: Gregory Porter. The live version of the track just blew me away. I researched the guy and found out that he is allready pretty famous. He even got a grammy nomination for his 2010 record "water".
So, I forgot about it and now got remindet by Opolo, who added a kick and bass to the song and made it into a "clubtrack". less is more.
This is the first official visual of the forthcoming album "The Family Sign" dropping April 12th. Nice Budget production with a cool concept and message. Dogs for life, Solo.
Little jewel right here. Don`t miss this.
We were really feeling Thallus first tape between head and hand because of its ever evolving sound structures. The second tape is just as good maybe even better. I will take my time with this. Good balance between freaky and chilled-out. Just how we like it over here. Pick up the first tape aswell in case you missed it.
