La société a été fondée en 1977 par la danseuse et chorégraphe Lou Conte, qui a formé le groupe jusqu'à sa retraite en 2000 en tant que directeur artistique. Initialement, quatre, est maintenant 22 danseurs sont envoyés à l'ensemble, par Jim Vincent (directeur artistique) et Jason D. Palmquist (PDG).
