This 90`s sound is not coming back, it has never left. It`s like fucking your ex from way back, but you still love her, right?
Great little song that reminds me of Walkin Large. Flavor!
Shouts to Figub.
This is the second single off their collabo project. I think it is much better than the first leak, but I mean you can only expect greatness from these guys. So if it`s good, it`s not going to be good enough. Right?
Funky shit!!
This is a good combo. I come to realise that Statik Selektah is focusing on creating a certain sound for people`s entire projects like he did with Strong Arm Steady, Freddie Gibbs and Action Bronson rather than a certain Statik Selektah style of beat like he used to be known for. This is off their second collaboration effort after Lyrical Workout in 2011. This guy is actually producing 5-6 albums a year. That`s just insane.
Dag Savage (Johaz & Exile) "Cali Dreamin" ft. Fashawn, Co$$ and Tiombe Lockhar bringing pleasant sunbeams in this cold times.
..while this here is pure heat. already about a year old.. but still hot. slept on it then, celebrate it now. Isn´t this the best aloe blacc could do after his excursion with his super successfull soulrecord.
Not the first time that cascaderecords appears in here with morbidly good stuff. Dope release by chrisARE from Philly - only slightly corny thing about "Lovedust" is maybe the title (actually already dropped in August) .
Btw: "...lovedust" was produced using 1 turntable, 1 mixer, the MPC2000xl & a cassette deck..."
Nice approach by "The Robert Digweed Collective". They sent out stems of their classical (new-) jazz album "First Impressions" to some really gifted beat-heads such as Elaquent, Duktus, Kova, Herma Puma, Ackryte and many more.
Some Impressions:
Killer Joe // Elaquent Remix
Comin' Home Baby! // Black Ph03nix Remix
All Blues // Cutcannibalz Remix
Let there be Love // Kova Remix
