New Nic. Don`t know who produced this Smokie Robinson. All I know is that this used to be Wayne`s Baby. When Solo and I get back from the Redman concert tonight we`re gonna have our last one to this one right here ...and then I will put on "Smoke Buddha" one last time. Peace jimmy
Well I know we are mostly up in here to post free music, but then I feel like we are using pictures of artist shot by numerous "Shottas" and they don`t get the credit, because most of the time we don`t know who shot the photo. So maybe this is a little something to give back to the people who provide us with their "free" material everyday. Nice pics. saw this at 2dpz. jimmy
This is Guilty Simpson with Bumps, the drummers of the band Tortoise, with J.Rocc on the cut.Bumps, the self-titled beat album was released on Stones Throw a couple years back. John McEntire, John Herndon, and Dan Bitney of Bumps had Guilty Simpson over this track for a potential single.
Donwill & Von Pea picked 9 Instrumentals of the "The Roots – Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Sandwhiches EP" and spit over them.Nice project with likable features with Spec Boogie, Che Grand and Jermiside.Tanya Morgan!Brooklynati!.
The countdown is running for the new "Epsilon Project" Album "Audacity".The newest preview "America" is produced by legendary "Dj Vadim".Good Job Guys!!Album drops 25.05.2010.Stay Tuned!
Onry Ozzborn (of Grayskul & Oldominion) and >Zavala are Dark Time Sunshine, and have dropped a new album called “Vessel” via Fake Four Records. The Album includes features from Aesop Rock, P.O.S., Solillaquists of Sound, Qwel, and Ceschi Ramos.Check that video for a 3 track preview. This is Sick!
An allegorical short film/music video for Shabazz Palaces shot in Watts, Los Angeles, directed by Kahlil Joseph, Photographed by Matt Lloyd. Featuring a cameo of Dante (Ernest Wadell) from "The Wire" in homage to Charles Burnett's 1977 classic film "Killer of Sheep".
Don`t know why people have to redo the songs of this classic album, but then again our beloved three kats from the DMV give a pretty good reason why you should at least try. Von Pea and Spec Boogie, who I think are just as good, do not convince me at all with their version of "Shimmy Shimmy Ya". Incase you really think that this could be of any interest to you, check it out here. Peace. jimmy
And the Links keep comin in. This is Mike Nova...another totally unfamiliar artist to me..and his Partners in Rhyme Belvi, Rich, Def Sound. Beat is a mixture between Diabase-Nintendo-Crazyness and some Clipse-BlingBling. Mono Poly definitly made me break my neck with this one. Cheers. jimmy
New shit from the West Coast. Didn`t know about C.Keys, but did hear some G Rocka tracks before...and I must say he is doing his thing and probably learning a lot around Muggs and his Soul Assassins. You can find the B-side of the single here...G Rocka on the Hook. The album "Sophisticated Hood" is set to release mid summer of 2010. O.P. you the man. jimmy
Photo: www.jakobhoff.comO-Phrap sends us this new one and I think we have to make one thing clear: we love O and his peeps. Keep em commin. My english isn`t at a level where I can understand everything these Rappers are saying, but for me it seemed like this a message to a younger fella, so I put up a picture of a young Bangladeshi kid who was a little to anxious while attending art class. Haha. jimmy
New Song from the "Reflection Eternal" "Revolutions Per Minute" Album, coming 18.05.2010.This will be one of the dopest Albums 2010.Im sure. For now, play "Ballad of The Black Gold", about the "Oil War" on this dope "Hi-Tek" Beat.

This is the second part of my "Rapping Daddy Series". Don`t know why but this one convinced me just that tiny bit more. It has got the children playing in the background aswell, but I don`t know, is it the beat or the raps?...I mean both beats are crazy...maybe it`s just because I have been peeping these dudes from Oxnard just a little longer. With that being said I thought Dex/RiffRaff McGriff was part of the crew aswell or is it that he just didn`t lay a verse on this one? What do you guys think? Who picked up the win? Also you can download the single...that`s a plus. Anyways two great songs for all you "grown" folks. peace jimmy
Now this starts of my "Rapping Daddy Series". I found two videos/songs in like two days which have the same message: I am a proud father, but that doesn`t keep me from doing my music with the homies. That`s it. Let`s see who has the better song/video...hehe. First one is by Ruslan and his homies Blame One, Braille and Exile. (saw this @ potholesinmyblog) jimmy
THE BACKGROUND: Kutmah was born in the UK to an Egyptian mother and Scottish father. He moved to the US with hismother when he was 12 years old. They immediately applied for US residency to keep them from being sent to Egypt. The US court ruled that as a British citizen he would be able to live in the UK and denied their application.
Kutmah and his Mom returned to court to plead their case 14 years ago when Kutmah was 20. They were againdenied a green card and were urged to sign a document stating they would voluntary leave the US.On Wednesday morning, May 5th armed agents entered Kutmah's house and detained him. He was brought to a facility in downtown LA where he was interrogated. On Thursday he was moved to New Mexico. We need to show how important Kutmah is to the LA and US community. Please write a letter and spread the word!
Please customize the letter below and send it ASAP to Gaby Hernandez: gaby5hernandez@gmail.com
LETTER TEMPLATE: To Whom it May Concern:Justin McNulty is a highly talented artist, DJ and music producer who is a beloved member of the Los Angeles creative community. For well over a decade he has devoted his substantial skills to the betterment of our community through positive, artistic actions.Mr. McNulty has selflessly donated his time and exceptional talents to numerous charitable and non-profit causes. He has garnered worldwide acclaim through these efforts based in the United States.Mr. McNulty’s individual community arts service is a testament to modern philanthropy. In an age when institutional funding is slim he has taken personal action to better our country by inspiring its citizens through progressive cultural outreach.I fully support Justin McNulty’s right to stay in the United States and urge your positive and swift action in this matter. His deportation would be a devastating loss to Los Angeles and the American arts.
Unreleased material by "Sinuous" an MCee and Producer. This Guy is part of the "Audacity" family you may know from "Epsilon Project".Very nice and smooth Boom Bap instrumentals with a "Sinuous" dropping his rhymes cushy and relaxed. In the next time he will drop "Throwbacks" part 2 and 3.Stay tuned for the "Audacity Fam" because im sure they*ll have some nice releases in the future like the new "Epsilon Project" Album "Audacity" with productions from "Oh-No","Kev Brown" and "DJ Vadim".Peace!
The last Episode of "Oddisee's" "Seasons" announcements."Odd Spring" is soulful and the right Soundtrack for the Spring,we still waiting for in germany. We are lucky guys, because we met "Oddisee" and his "Diamond District" partners in february and he is really easeful and considered. That's what "Odd Spring" represents to me is the same.An balanced and stunning arranged Mixtape which benefits to the sound.Great work Dude!
While scrolling through The Physics`s Blog I found this new Jake One Mixtape. Jake One and The Physics are both from Seattle and even though it doesn`t say anywhere on the cover, everybody featured on this mix is part of the Seattle Hiphop scene. Songs are from `89 until `09 and if you know the stuff Jake One stands for it`s an instant Download. jimmy
Three slow chilled-out tracks by The Physics. I picked out the second song called "My Place", but the other two songs are just as good. Check it. Also check out their previous Mixtapes "High Society" and "Future Talk"...also the "Love Is A Business" LP when it drops. Yeah. Jimmy Jah
April 19, 2009 This album is a reflection of the man behind it. Concepts that are conventionally important may be addressed by Teddy’s lyrics, but his approach is unique to his experiences and therefore, yeah, it’s honest. Apple Juice focuses on resisting an external world of directed materialism and personalities tainted by that influence. That resistance is characterized by his sense of humor, which lyrically skips along holding hands with his frustrations. Teddy’s raps are raw, with every gasp for breath left as audible punctuation for his emotionally charged confessional cadence. His production style shows chopped and screwed influences, and sample choices which aren’t trite or obviously borrowed from someone else. Teddy’s backing music isn’t poppy: it mostly serves to emphasize the tone of his metaphorically-laced lyrics.
May you know the Cali Mc "Shawn Jackson" from his last release "First Of All" (2008).That new Mixtape "Hollywood Shuffle Side A" is a foretaste on his new Album "Brand New Old Me" dropping stores in July. The Mixtape is a collection of unreleased material and remixes and features productions from underground Cats like Exile, Dibia$e, and DJ House Shoes.Shawn shows some nice rap skills on tracks like "Fix ya Face too" or "Here we go again".Cuts by Dj Lowkey!.
I know we post mainly stuff to help you cope with your downloading habit, but then if you are that addicted to free music you probably know you can filsh almost anything. I remember Royal Flush. "Rotten Apple" was my song back then. Didn`t know about Nutso (now I know), but the most impressive part comes from no other than Mic Geronimo. Does anybody know if he is working on a new album? Dude sounds better than ever before. Nice. Directed by Javier Goin. Oh by the way found this at wildstylemag. Thanks for the Tickets SCHOKI. Anybody going to the Redman concert in Erfurt? jimmy

Artist whos down with that slick sound!Im looking forward for the Album.(“Flava In Your Ear” at the End?).Haha.Get it 1.st than vibing on it!
"Left side of the Map (rmx)" (feat. Belvi) is one more dope tune by "O-Phrap".The Man behind the Scene is "Dibia$e",one of the illest names in HipHop Producing these days!We posted some leaks in the past time,so cuddle through the blog and have a nice sunday.
If anybody dont know "Free the Robots",thats the bargain. The new Album "Ctrl Alt Delete" is a masterpiece.Get a foretaste and take a listen to "Orion's Belt Buckle".No Rapmusic inside(like you are accustomed at this Spot),anyhow they bangin definitly. That new electronic producer generation is great! Free the Robots!
Volume 2 of "Rappersiknow" "J.Bizness 3P Series".Fresh Beats by J.B. and "Skeem Price" drop that Raps dope (Kool CAT!).Get Volume 1 here if you missed it.
Talking about yU... his partner from his "1978" clique has put together a very nice instrumental mix. 15 minutes long, very laid back. No need to skip at all. Dope. One. jimmy
Another good track of the "Before Taxes" album which is in stores. Support! Soul Brother Nr. 2 on here too. Nice. The 2dopeboys put up a couple of the "Before Taxes" Instrumentals in form of a zip file. You can get it here Yeah. Jimmy
I did it again. Nas and Marley again?! Had this laying around since yesterday and told myself can`t post them again, but then I read that this will not be on "Distant Relatives" and I personally don`t understand why? So before this get`s lost in the 3 big Ws take a listen. I really dig the first Damian verse...Nas`s verse sounds like he`s been in the studio with his Jamaican brother for some time now. The sample is nice and not Indian at all. Hyptrak tells me it`s of Amadou & Mariam`s last album "Welcome to Mali". “Sabali” means patience.

"Melanin 9" of "Triple Darkness" released "High Fidelity" a free download Album after his "MELANIN 9 - 144,000".(Review via: Hypedog). Melanin 9 is a deep lyricist and Songwriter and shoots his rhymes in favour on dark Beats.2 Days ago we posted Jon Phonics - Half Past Calm 2 where you can find 2 more Joints of him-> like "Tug The Rope" (dope)and many other high quality Songs. The "UK" comes up with some tuff Mcees and Producers. In this spirit:ShoutOuts 2: JonPhonics,Fliptrix,Ramson Badbonez,Chemo,Jam Baxter, Melanin9, Obba Supa, Evil Ed, Prophet, Kosyne, Masikah, 9 Planets, Beat Butcha, Triple Darkness.....................!!
Wanted to let you know about my new mix series entitled "Bad Things Come in 3's (not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good)." The concept is pretty simple: each episode features 3 artists, containing 3 songs from each. So, they're pretty short, just little mini-mixes really. I'll be releasing a new episode every few weeks, and each episode will pick up where the last one left off.
The "Higher Vibrations " was a bouncing and catchy instrumental Album by "Leonard Dstroy".The new Release "Leonard Dstroy & Kutty Slitz - The LennySlitz Project" adapt the quality of "Higher Vibrations" and is added with dope and all-around Rapper Kutty Slitz.!!
The freaked out beats of UK beathead Paul White remind me of 70 psycadelic records. With an hardcore MC like Guilty Simpson on top of it we have the perfect combination. The original track is a free download. The remixes cost min. 60 cent. But that´s not too bad for an ep that would have cost about 7€ 3 years ago.. The only difference is the absence of the pressed oil. The quality of the music is the same.!!Inhale!!
MED with a new Bänger produced by Oh No. Futuristic. First I thought the spaced out panning sound will ruin the whole song, but then it just stops and only comes back once in a while. Great Trip. Oh No doing what he does best. Shit I can`t wait for the Gangrene (Alchemist x Oh No) Project.
Fuck...can`t login to my DIVSHARE right now. Stones Throw link for now then...
Wow.The new Kids in the Producer Scene going crazy.Bassperverted Instrumentals with banging Drums celebrating a party with a tuff sample collection (bellydance on it?wow) and deep planars. Many Layers with sound rackets.Grab it Bang it!
01. Meditation (Intro) 02. 1, 2 Play 03. Raw (For My People) 04. If Fire Was A Beat (Blue Flame) 05. Dedication (Motherlude) 06. The Knowing 07. Dead Serious (Killing The Radio) 08. Prayer(s) 09. Dirty Hum 10. Requiem For A Choked Dream
Short bio : Been doing music since 1996, no major release except this beat meditation serie and a previous electronic beats called "a soul has no shape"((Download "A Soul has no Shape").I'm a beat fanatic, hiphop head beeing travelling the world since first grade : Austria, France but originally from Tunisia North Africa. Also split personnality with MC BAZ, preping new/first mixtape the 6th sens to be released this summer with productions from Rouh, DJ Vons (France), NoShape, CenzoBeatz (Germany), Wizard, Boombaptist, Constrobuz... Hope you'll enjoy the listen.
Peace 1
In diesem Sinne:Runterladen.Spaß haben.
My Troubled Mind is the debut release from Low End Theory resident DJ and founder Gaslamp Killer, where he has only built on his global acclaim for his turntable skills and larger-than-life stage presence. Raw drum breaks glide over the deep sample palette of GLK's prestigious world/funk collection, freak-out sound-effects and analog delays, making My Trouble Mind a true voyage into sound. These seven songs are a journey into the mind of a deranged man, now available Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder imprint.
Gaslampkiller is one of the craziest (i mean innovative) Producer's in the field.I got really addicted as i heard "Gonjasufi - A Sufi and a Killer" the 1.st Time.No constraints in Sampling or whatsoever.Gaslampkiller represents the new Producer vanguard, how smelly this notion can be,it doesnt matter.Grab this Track and take a Seat!
Jon's beats are full-fat milk. Now it's time for the Calcium Kid to shine!!Producer Jon Phonics first emerged in 2006, banging out beats for artists such as M9 and Doc Brown. He has since lent his talents to a number of projects including the YNR compilation 'Feeding Time at the Zoo' and Verb T's 'Verbs With A Vengeance' album. Jon's own solo album 'Half Past Calm' dropped in 2008, a versatile collection of gems featuring some of the UK's most prolific artists including T-Bear, Triple Darkness and Sir Smurf Lil'.2009's instrumental project 'Jonathan's Beats & Pieces' only further solidified his rep as one of the UK's most exciting new production talents.Jon's sophomore album 'Half Past Calm 2' which features the vocal talents of everyone from Ramson Badbones to Obba Supa has been highly anticipated. In Jon's own words, the album is "intended to represent 360 degrees of natural Hip Hop essence!"Jon is currently in the lab working on material for Jyager, Jehst, Verb T and Cyrus Malachi among others.'Half Past Calm 2' is out now. Sign up to our YNR Newsletter to receive your free download! That's right... FREE!!!
Wow.I'am very content. It has been a long way of download patience, but it so good to be positive amazed. The "UK" comes up.This is an dope Release, the Instrumentals by Producer "Jon Phonics" really banging and represent that lusty sampling shelves.Coined of diversity it is a dope playground for hungry Mcees.(This UK slang is inimitable.).One of My new Hero's "Ramson Badbonez" is only one Name of some Dope Rappers measuring on that Release.Thx. Jon Phonics! The Tracks above are 2 of my favourites after 2nd listening.Im sure it will change from day to day. This "Pump (Feat. Fliptrix, Sonnyjim, Ramson Badbonez & Verb T)" Song make me remembering the early days of "Living Legends".Lets go N Grab it!
